KCC Hole #5

Kennett Country Club - Hole #5

This challenging par 4 is the number two handicap hole at Kennett Country Club and provides many challenges.  Out of bounds runs the length of hole down the right side coming into play on both the tee and approach shots.  The landing area from the tee is protected by the lake immediately behind #1 green on the left and by a fairway bunker on the right side.  A long iron or fairway wood short of the water and fairway bunker will leave a somewhat lengthy approach of 150-175 yards.  Trees immediately off the left side of the tee and a required 230+ yard carry make it difficult to hit driver from the tee in an attempt to carry the water on the left. An approach shot that finds one of the greenside bunkers or goes long make for a very difficult up-and-down to a large, undulating green.  The green, which slopes from back to front is protected by bunkers on the left side and just behind the green.  Par is a good score here.
