Everyone in Kennett and the surrounding areas was hit hard by the recent ice storm that passed through Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas. If you have not been by the golf course, we have suffered extensive tree damage.

Randy Kieffner, Greens Superintendent and the KCC Board of Directors would like to announce a Golf Course Cleanup weekend this coming Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm on Feb 14-15. Many of us have been working hard to clean up our own yards, but without the help of the KCC membership, we are looking at paying a huge cleanup bill to an outside service.

We need our members to bring chainsaws rakes and any other lawn tools you may have access to in order to aid in the cleanup. We are asking that all men, ladies and golf team members participate in the cleanup if possible. Kennett Country Club is one of the nicest golf courses in the area and we are calling for the help of our membership to get the course back into shape.

Lunch will be provided by the tournament committee and rest assured that everyone will have a job that they can do.

Electricity is still out on all of our facilities at the club. Additionally, a pipe burst in the old Pro Shop and locker room areas during the freezing weather – this resulted in some flooding and water damage to areas within the old Pro Shop building. If you have any personal belongings in the locker room areas or old Pro Shop, please pick them up as soon as possible to make room for clean up and to prevent any further damage to personal or club property.

We are not far away to start getting the course ready for the tournament season and need your help to get the club ready for the season. We hope to see everyone during the weekend.
